RefWorks is a web-based bibliography manager that allows you to create your own personal database by importing references from text files or online databases and other various sources. You can use these references in writing papers and automatically format the paper and the bibliography in seconds.

All students, academic or administrative staff from MPU may sign up an individual account by clicking the "Create account" link below the login form. Please noted that your MPU email address is required for the registration.

Mendeley is a freely available reference manager and academic social network with web-based, desktop, and mobile versions. With the Mendeley Reference Manager, you can easily organize and search your personal library, annotate documents and cite as you write.
Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research.
Scopus is a multi-disciplinary, bibliographic database that indexes the content of over 19,500 peer-reviewed journals from more than 5,000 publishers, 46 million abstracts, 500million quality web pages, and 21 million patent records. Subject coverage includes life sciences, health sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and social sciences. The database also provides references cited for articles published after 1996.

Web of Science Core Collection is the world's most trusted citation index for scientific and scholarly research. It is a curated collection of over 20,000 peer-reviewed, high-quality scholarly journals published worldwide (including Open Access journals) in over 250 science, social sciences, and humanities disciplines.
Conference Proceedings Citation Index database (former name ISI Proceedings) is part of the Web of Science, it helps researchers access the published literature from significant conferences, symposia, seminars, colloquia, workshops, and conventions worldwide. This resource lets you use cited reference searching to track emerging ideas and new research beyond what is covered in the journal literature.
Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is a comprehensive and unique resource that allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from over 7,500 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 60 countries.
SciVal is a research analytics system that uses data from Scopus and Science Direct to give researchers access to the bibliometric research performance of their own research, research institutions and individual researchers worldwide. SciVal enables researchers and admin to visualise research performance, benchmark using a number of metrics and develop collaborative partnerships. SciVal can be used to:
- Understand the performance of research outputs for a group
- Gather information and analysis to support funding bids and PBRF
- Analyse research strengths and trends and to benchmark against other research groups, universities etc
- Gather information about current partnerships and potential partners

Publons allows researchers to track, verify and showcase their peer review and editorial contributions for academic journals. Publons provides verified credit for peer review without compromising your anonymity or violating journal policies.
Publons have partnered with ORCID so that you can export your verified review history from Publons to your ORCID profile. Linking your Publons account to your ORCID profile is essential if you are an active peer reviewer.

EndNote Click (formerly Kopernio) is a free, easy-to-use browser plugin that helps you save time accessing full-text journal articles by bringing the Library subscriptions as well as open access content into your workflow at your point of need. This extension is integrated with over 20,000 academic websites including Web of Science, PubMed, and Google Scholar.

Standards
Turnitin is an online anti-plagiarism service available for MPU's teachers. Turnitin checks uploaded articles/texts against a database of web documents and other uploaded texts. It also stores all submissions and compares new submissions with previous ones. Please refer to the IT Department website for details and application.
